I like organising info, but I've often found it hard to work out how to structure my resources (and thinking) when it comes to classifying educational interventions/factors/approaches. The thing I'm most excited about this week is takeaway 1 ‘What makes a teachable moment?' which also includes within it a bit of a framework for thinking about the kinds of things teachers need to do in order to be experts at their job. Well worth a look.
Looping vs. Platooning is an interesting piece, especially for primary teachers, looking at whether it's better to have specialist teachers of content, or one classroom teacher (and the impacts of having that same teacher for multiple years). Implications for high schools too.
T3 looks at the role of knowledge in reading comprehension, and ways to develop the two in tandem.
T4 is heart warming.
T5 and T6 are for maths teachers.
T7 is anyone who likes making mind maps that are heirarchical in nature.
T8 is just for fun.
Enjoy : )
