Lots of great resources this week. T1 is a summary on the science of learning that provides a great overview of key insights into this important topic.
T2 outlines the power of teaching students to effectively use spacing and retrieval practice in their study (esp. disproportionately positive effects on students from marginalised and underrepresented groups).
T3 is one to dip in and out of, highly worthwhile.
T4 is a perfect example of what reflective teacher blogging and sharing is all about. A must read if you teach algebra.
T5 offers an insight I hadn't thought of before as a basis for planning for the future in the classroom, and more generally.
T6 is a thoughtful exploration of teacher labels, including the what and why of the oft used ‘Trad' label.
T7 to T11 can speak for themselves (I will, however, note that T10 is a super good Maths Modelling challenge that those looking for a good project to do with students, inc the benefit of it being externally marked!)
T12 is a fun minute and 39 seconds, that's bound to save you more time than that in the long run!
Enjoy : )

'Learning: What is it, and how can we catalyse it?' A great report from @ifteaching and @pepsmccrea that brings together nine key insights about what learning is, and how to better design instruction for it. A light touch study skills intervention significantly increases student learning
Spaced retrieval strikes again! This time, closing the gap between underrepresented minority and non-underrepresented minority students. https://t.co/HvW8Tty1C8 pic.twitter.com/ei5JYeusR6

Great thread by @benjaminriley, what if we base planning on what we know won't change, rather than what we expect to?
Excellent thread. Very memorable key point! https://t.co/SdN7unN92D

The best crack at a critical thinking rubric that I've seen
Notoriously hard to do, this is probably the best crack at a critical thinking rubric that I've seen. I can see how this could be used to guide an analysis for sure. https://t.co/fxcXcKRNuE HT @KatieMMarquardt pic.twitter.com/SDnOGVw1BO

The International Mathematics Modelling Challenge. Looks good
The international mathematical modelling challenge. This looks like a great question to explore, and this article captures well what separated the more from less successful entries. Might like to enter next year. https://t.co/Cem8QWDvts pic.twitter.com/tpHAC4J5Df
