Today we’re speaking with Oliver Caviglioli. Oliver spent many years as a teacher and principal in a special school, and is a world expert on visual teaching strategies. In recent years he’s focussed on writing books and running trainings in schools and colleges. Day to day, Oliver spends the majority of his time at his sketchbook and Mac, working how how to best visually communicate educational concepts, processes, and theories.

Today we’re discussing his book, Dual Coding with Teachers. But boy does the discussion go deeper than that! It was quite a surprise to me where the discussion went, and Oliver shares many ideas and revelations that he’s had since he first released his book. For me this was an immensely exciting discussion and I had so much fun trying to keep up with Oliver’s fast paced thinking on the interconnections between ideas, images, and the many insights he shared into how visuals can help people learn. If you’re ready to have your mind expanded, this ERRR episode is for you.
